Wildcats game on gridiron postponed

C-SC Athletics Press Release
The Culver-Stockton College football game at Missouri Valley, slated for Saturday, Sept. 12, in Marshall, Mo., has been postponed.

This decision was made due to COVID-19 protocols, and will allow student-athletes to return to competition in the safest manner possible.

“It is emotionally very difficult for the players and coaches on both teams,” said Athletic Director Pat Atwell. “These young men and the coaching staffs have been preparing for this opening game for a month so it is difficult, but that is our new reality.”

The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. That date was originally a bye week for each of the conference schools heading into division play the following week.

The Wildcats now are scheduled to begin the season Saturday, Sept. 19, at home against Evangel University. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

More information on how Culver-Stockton is working through these challenging times is available on the Culver-Stockton website. More information regarding the Heart Promise is available on the Heart website.
