Back Bridgewater to Keep it Close

I know, I know. Aaron Rodgers has been playing at an all-time level, nobody on the globe can guard Davante Adams, and Aaron Jones has been running over defenses all year long. Despite their elite offense the Packers display, their defense has been struggling as of late giving up 24.8 PPG. Struggling to stop the run, the Packers’ defense is ranked 23rd in the league in yards per carry (4.6 yards).

Christian McCaffrey is inactive for this evening, but Mike Davis and Curtis Samuel have been exceptional in his replacement all season long. Don’t forget Teddy can move around and scramble when he needs to get the yards as well!

Teddy Bridgewater, historically, has boasted a 33-13 ATS (against the spread) record (71%). The number that lies in our favor, even more, is his ATS as an underdog — 23-6 (79%). This season alone they are 6-3 ATS as underdogs covering notably against the Chiefs, Saints, and Chargers.  In that exact role this evening, I expect the Carolina offense to be able to keep up with the Packers as they get a huge boost back with DJ Moore coming off of the COVID list.

The Packers look poised to make another Super Bowl run, and I do believe they win this game this evening. However, the value lies in backing Bridgewater to keep it close.

Bet: Panthers +8.5 -110 for 1U
