Lamar to Lead Ravens to Conference Title Game

After the Cleveland Browns’ surprise victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers this past Sunday night, the Baltimore Ravens get to travel to Buffalo to face the Bills instead of the Kansas City Chiefs. I know Cleveland was rocking after the win, but I’m sure Baltimore was right behind them. This is a matchup nightmare for the Bills who would have much rather played the Steelers given the way they had been playing recently.

Let’s get down to the meat of the matchup. This is going to be all about the running game for Baltimore against a defense that just let Phillip River and Co. gain almost 500 yards of offense on them. If you watched that Bills/Colts game, a majority of you would agree the Colts should be in this game instead. The Ravens have the best running offense in the league averaging close to 200 yards on the ground. The Bills give up on average 163 rush yards and 4.6 yards per carry on the year. Two of the games they lost were to Kyler Murray and Ryan Tannehill who had 61 and 42 yards rushing on the ground. And now, winners of six straight and 5-0 ATS, the Ravens are rolling and I don’t see the Bills stopping them this game.

Baltimore’s defense has come on strong as of late as they’ve gotten healthier. The Ravens blitz at one of the highest rates and have the cornerbacks to stop Diggs, Brown, and Beasley. Marcus Peters should shadow Diggs. Jimmy Smith should be on John Brown and Malcolm Humphrey should take away Beasley. The Bills are also without their starting RB in Zach Moss as well so we should see them lean a little more heavily on Josh Allen runs.

The weather looks to be cold, windy and a possibility of snow. All of this gives the Ravens an even better chance with their running game. I’m backing Lamar to get it done and go to KC for the conference title!

Bet: Ravens +2.5 (2U)

        Ravens ML +125 (1U)
