The Buffalo Bills have been one of the biggest bright spots in the NFL this season. Josh Allen has jumped onto the scene as another elite dual-threat QB that has the ability to take over games. Dethroning the New England Patriots of their historic decade-plus run of AFC East titles, the Bills have positioned themselves into finishing no worse than the 3rd seed of the AFC. If they win out, they could potentially jump the Steelers for the 2 seed in the AFC. If it weren’t for that last second Kyler Murray hail mary, the Bills would be rolling on an 8-game winning streak heading into Foxborough.
The New England Patriots, however, are still the big brother in this match up. They have honestly dominated the Bills owning a 35-6 record and haven’t allowed the Bills to sweep the series since 1999. Plenty of new faces have come and gone in that timeframe, but Bill Belichick remains the staple behind the dynasty that he’s built in New England.
The Patriots played this exact same Bills team tough back in Week 7 losing 24-21. If you recall, the Patriots were driving late in that game and a Cam Newton fumble cost them a come-from-behind victory. Damien Harris is banged up, but they could potentially have him back this evening along with Sony Michel and James White to round out the backfield.
This game is going to be closer than people would think. The Patriots have a ton of pride and they are going to throw a ton at the Bills tonight offensively (Jarrett Stidham potentially) to ruin their season or at least not let them sweep the season series. You may not think that’s important, but I can tell you one thing — Bill Belichick cares. I’m going to use a 4 PT teaser to give myself a little more of an angle tonight in case the Bills do show up.
